Comment: I recently got an invitation to my local Dillards for a Christmas tree decorating seminar event. The message was not missed. They put their position in print. Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth. It is okay to celebrate other significant religious and nonreligious things during the holiday season. But it does not change the meaning of Christmas.

Comment: We have two Dillard's Dept. stores at Cordova Mall in Pensacola. The people who serve there are so helpful and friendly. In a mailing we received ( an invitation to a special evening), Dillard's used the following message: "Merry Christmas from your friends at Dillard's!" Thank you, Dillard's, for being "Christmas friendly!"

Comment: Dillard's web site prominently features its "Christmas" catalog on the front page. The theme is "Dillards: the style of Christmas." This is a good indication that Dillard's will recognize Christmas this year.
