Comment: I was appalled by this year's attempt at a Christmas TV ad. While attempting to please everyone and offend no one, it has had the opposite effect. Celebrating "whatever" and doing "what you want" are purely an example of today's worldly values. I feel for the Christian employees at GAP; I wouldn't want to work there. If I had the money to spend at places like GAP (which I don't), I wouldn't shop there either.

Comment: The Gap has been intentionally offensive to Christmas for years. I remember about 4 years ago they decided not to decorate their stores during the holiday. Thank you for the comment.] -- "I'm a manager at a Gap store. As a Christian I feel condemned by reading some of your comments. We're allowed to say Merry Christmas. Please understand that Gap is a business not a church and we have Jews, Muslims, Atheists, and Christians who come into our store. I cannot assume everyone are Christians. The Sunday "church crowd" that comes in is so much more rude and mean than any other time of the week. Please use courtesy and know that you are a representation of Christ even when you shop. Please be nice, retail workers need Christ too!"

Comment: I just watched the commercial for GAP, I was truly repulsed when they mentioned that we should liberate and how they put Christmas next to solstice. Pretty much what they said was we need to break free and do what we feel is right which goes against everything for this Christmas season. Please go to youtube and watch the commercial if you haven't already seen it. I will NEVER step foot into one of their stores or any store affiliated with them. Even though their ads promote believing in anything, it certainly can't be coincidental that their TV ads just happen to be running now, during the CHRISTMAS season and not at some other time of the year. Comment: The irony is that those who created this offensive ad have NO idea how much consumers would love and welcome seeing and hearing "Merry Christmas." It's not too late to change and do the right thing, GAP! We'd then lift the GAP ban our family has on your store. Merry Christmas!

Comment: The latest ad from the Gap, is openly blasphemous! One line says something like,-you do what ever feels right-. I couldn't believe it when I heard it. It's very disappointing, and I will certainly never shop there again.

Comment: Former Gap customer for 20+ years, completely offended by this advertisement. As a Christian I will not spend my Christmas money at Gap.
Two, Four, Six, Eight, now's the time to liberate Go Christmas, Go Hanukkah, Go Kwanza, Go Solstice.
Go classic tree, go plastic tree, go plant a tree, go add a tree, You 86 the rules, you do what feels just right.
Happy do whatever you wanukkah, and to all a cheery night.
Go Christmas, Go Hanukkah, go whatever holiday you wanukkah.

Comment: I am tired of everyone feeling that "86-ing" the rules is somehow tolerant. Aren't we glad God didn't decide to "do whatever he wannaka'd", but chose to become flesh for our salvation which, by the way IS what we are celebrating.

Comment: Their adds offend me - Christmas is lumped into all of the other "winter celebrations" like Kwanza, Hanukkah, winter solstice... Not to mention the suggestive poses that these teenagers/young adults are in! Are you kidding me? Until they quit boycotting Christmas, I will keep boycotting them!

Comment: Just do anything holiday? Are you kidding. How offensive can you get. Gap stands for nothing that I stand for and I will NOT be shopping there or any of it's affiliate stores this year. Jesus is the reason for the season...

Comment: Do not like their new ad. Christmas is just lumped into whatever you feel like celebrating which means nothing. As much as I like their clothes, I will not shop there.

Comment: GAP - I find your ads offensive and the fact you are not celebrating CHRISTMAS is offensive to me.
My family will NOT be shopping at GAP until I see Christmas in ads and your ads are less sexually offensive. Thank you for your time.

Comment: GAP,
I find your latest TV commercial offensive. Comparing Christmas and Hanukkah with winter solstice, the made up sixties holiday Kwanzaa, and eighty-sixing it (ignoring, do-nothing) shows your contempt for the real holiday. The federally recognized holiday celebrates CHRISTMAS (THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST) and no other holiday. A VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE BUY GIFTS FOR CHRISTMAS to remember and show love for their friends and family as the wise men honored the Christ child that first Christmas. I will not step in a GAP (or GAP affiliated) store because of your contempt.

Comment: GAP's tv commercial only plays into the continuing notion that one determines their own truth. Do what you want and what makes you happy regardless of the truth. They package this concept in a happy little spot devoid of any meaning except the attempt appeal to everyone and not to offend anybody. Chrisitans should stop buying all together just one Christmas to show the world that it really isn't about what we give but what only God has given.
