Comment: Lots of Santa books and children's items but few about Jesus' birth. The cashier was "all business" and did not make any reply when I wished her a merry Christmas.

Comment: The Milford, CT store was very big on this mysterious "holiday" with no mention of Christmas. I purchased a gift card with "Merry Christmas" and asked for a matching envelope and was told "Happy Holidays" was all they had. When I asked for Christmas specifically, the cashier nastily said,"We don't have Happy Kwanzaa" either.

Comment: Thanks for remembering to say "Merry Christmas to your customers instead of Happy Holidays!" So many people do not remember this at all. Jesus birth is why we celebrate this day on earth!

Comment: As part of our Women's Group at church, I helped wrap presents at Barnes & Noble, at their invitation, and had a wonderful time. They provided paper, tape, etc., and allowed us to hand out flyers from our church inviting them to our Christmas Eve Service. They were more than accommodating, and the whole afternoon was a wonderful experience. Although I don't approve of everything for sale in the store, the staff itself was wonderful. God bless them. Our Youth Group is there today wrapping gifts.

Comment: Our store invites community organizations to earn funds by gift wrapping for them. The service is free to customers, but we received tips. Our Women's Ministry and our Youth Group between us were given three 4 hour shifts. We were allowed to have available on the table fliers with info. about the church and times of our Christmas Eve service! The Church's name was posted on their sign on our table. Their rules were reasonable. They were friendly and kind to us and encouraged shoppers to take advantage of our service. We said Merry Christmas every time!

Comment: No Christ-related gift cards available. Plenty of Santa-type, snowflake design, and Happy Holidays, even Hanukkah menorah. When I asked the sales person, she just shrugged and said, "I guess we don't carry anything like that".

Comment: I am very disappointed in Barnes & Noble once again for neglecting Merry Christmas in their advertisements. Two years ago they were on Focus on the Family's bad list. Last year they got the mediocre list. This year, they went back to bad. Though they are not offensive, they are negligent. I will not be shopping with them this upcoming year if I can help it.

Comment: The Barnes & Noble in Northville, MI had a prominent display right when you walked in of Christmas-related books. I picked one up to purchase. They also had a large table of gift books and a large table of purely Christian books. I also picked out several gifts and told the cashier they were Christmas gifts and she was very friendly and we talked about Christmas.

Comment: The Barnes and Noble retailer goes out of its way to avoid Christmas. Everything is "holiday." But I posted this review to draw attention to an online competitor, Amazon.com. On their front page, they link to a Christmas Corner where they sell everything from contemporary Christmas music to nativity sets!

Comment: It's CHRISTmas not Holliday. Come on. I am so sick of being aware of other religions to the point we are supposed to be ashamed of our own. Have a Hannukah section, have an Islamic section, but don't exclude the Christians.

Comment: This store is full of prominently displayed offensive books. I have not visited their store since last year around Halloween, there were occult and vampire books everwhere. In addition, they display books with foul words in the title, as well as having sexually explicit material in full view. I would never bring a child into this store, and avoid it myself. I don't care whether they use the word Christmas in light of all the smut they sell.

Comment: Website has HOLIDAY section, but no mention of Christmas, but do offer a gift card that says Merry Christmas. Looks like that want the sales but not willing to mention the real reason for the season!
